A Note About Our Updated Name and Look

Dear Friends,

Welcome to Weston Theater Company! We are very excited to begin our 2022 season by introducing you to our new look. Last year we commissioned Marin Horikawa, a Vermont artist with deep ties to our town, to capture our story in a way that reflects our past, our present, and our future.

For over 85 years, Weston has flourished as a home for exceptional theater in an exceptional community. At both The Playhouse, with its rich history, and our modern Walker Farm venue, Weston Theater Company presents beautiful, entertaining stories performed by astonishingly talented artists from near and far. For all of those years, our town and our community have been at the heart of our work. Everything we do—every moment of story, imagination, and innovation—is grounded in our history and contributes to the future of the place we call home.

Weston maintains an enduring connection to our community, our audience, and the art that joins us. Our updated name and look came together through conversations with many of you, and with members of our artistic family as well. We are so pleased with the result. It is timeless and fresh, and it embraces our history at the same time that it looks forward to our future. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Sincerely Yours,

SUSANNA GELLERT, EXECUTIVE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
