Weston Playhouse Awarded Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts
The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company has received a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in support of its 2008 Fall Production and Tour. The $20,000 grant will help fund performances of William Shakespeare’s classic comedy, AS YOU LIKE IT, in Weston and on tour throughout Vermont and New Hampshire.
"We are pleased and honored to receive this latest grant from the National Endowment for the Arts," commented WPTC Producing Director Steve Stettler. "Our fall production and tour has consistently been reaching audiences throughout Vermont and Northern New England as well as our core audience here in Weston for over ten years."
The WPTC has received NEA funding in support of its programs every year since 2001. This latest grant will support activities associated with the Fall Production and Tour including printed performance guides, pre-show talks, post-show discussions, audio-description and ASL interpretation. The professional theatre in New England that tours its region annually, the WPTC looks to reach over 5,000 people throughout Vermont and New England with its fall programming.

The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company is a non-profit organization supported in part by funds from the Vermont Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and an ever-growing family of individuals, corporations and foundations who believe in the impact that the performing arts can have on its community.
